Event Background
This panel discussion allows a platform for Gladstone scientists to showcase new research, relating to the mechanisms of aging, and how their findings can potentially lead the way to better alleviate and potentially cure age-related diseases.

GoAl
Redesign the look for the 2020 Gladstone’s President's Council Symposium, and develop print and web based assets to promote the panel discussions.
Solution
For the main graphic, I chose to use theme of rejuvenation as my inspiration for the look of the event. Specifically, I focused on creating a texture made up of colorful dots to represent the renewing and regrowth of cells. I then juxtaposed the texture within two overlapping silhouettes—meant to represent the collaborative effort between the researchers. The colorful silhouettes act as the main graphic for the event, while the colorful dot textures on its serves as a secondary visual element.

Animation
The animation would be shown on a large presentation screen within the auditorium before the discussions began and would serve as a welcome graphic to visitors as they they wait in their seats for the event to begin.
The main challenge with this was experimenting with After Effects to figure out the correct setup and use the right effects to create the smooth gradient transition, as well as making sure each individual dot would decrease in size accordingly during the color transitions.
I also had to keep in mind that the animation had to be on a loop, so I opted to phase the silhouettes in and out to avoid any hiccups as the loop sets in.
